Turkey's 2026 YKS additional university preference period ends September 21

The 2026 YKS additional preference process for university placement in Turkey is concluding. The application period, which began on September 17, 2026, will officially end on Monday, September 21, at 23:59.

Candidates must complete their selections through the ÖSYM Candidate Transactions System (AİS) or the mobile application before the deadline. The additional preference fee is set at 170 TL. Once the system closes at midnight, no further edits or additions to preference lists will be permitted.

While ÖSYM has not yet announced a specific date for the announcement of the additional placement results, experts suggest they may be released approximately one week after the application period ends, based on previous years' timelines. Once results are published, the schedule for university registration will also be announced.
