Turkey's 2026 YKS exam concludes and question papers released

The three‑day 2026 University Entrance Examination (YKS) in Turkey finished on 21 June, completing the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), the Field Proficiency Tests (AYT) and the Foreign Language Test (YDT). More than 920,000 candidates sat the first two sessions, and 203,639 took the YDT in five languages. The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) posted the official question booklets and answer keys for all sessions on its website. Security forces and local officials assisted thousands of students who risked missing the exam, helping some reach testing centers in the final minutes. The exam was run in 254 centers across 81 provinces and Northern Cyprus, with around 600,000 staff and 50,000 police personnel supporting the operation. ÖSYM announced that the results will be released on 22 July 2026. The completion of the YKS marks a major milestone for the million‑plus high‑school graduates preparing for university admission in Turkey.
