The discussion focused on accelerating large‑scale agricultural projects in the region, including the Beyazsu water transfer line, Midyat storage facilities, the Atatürk Dam irrigation scheme, and subsidies for electricity and other inputs to support farmers.

Separately, Deputy President Cevdet Yılmaz received Nevşehir MP Süleyman Özgün and representatives of the seed industry at the presidential palace. They highlighted challenges faced by seed producers, emphasized the need for sustainable and domestic seed production, and sought measures to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness and contribution to Turkey’s overall agricultural output.
