Turkey's Agriculture Ministry to hire 1,874 new staff

The Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that it will recruit 1,874 contract personnel for its rural offices. Minister İbrahim Yumaklı shared the plan on social media, stating the hires will strengthen the ministry’s capacity to serve producers across the country. The recruitment will be carried out under the provisions of Law No. 657 on civil servants. The announced quota includes 645 veterinary doctors, 515 agricultural engineers, 239 support staff, 185 food engineers, 73 security officers, 60 office staff, 49 aquaculture engineers, 45 mapping engineers, 23 ship crew members, 13 lawyers, 9 laboratory technicians, 7 biologists, 6 fisheries‑technology engineers and 5 chemists. Application dates, eligibility criteria and detailed procedures will be published in a forthcoming official notice.
