Turkey’s Akyaka District Governor Inspects Railway Upgrade Near Armenia Border

Akyaka District Governor İsmail Demirtaş visited the railway line close to the Armenia border to review ongoing maintenance, repair and renewal work. He was accompanied by İl Genel Meclis President Fuat Arslan, and together they received detailed briefings from site officials on the technical processes, schedule and progress of the project.

The works aim to replace rails, strengthen the track infrastructure and modernise the line so that it becomes safer, more efficient and capable of supporting increased rail transport once completed. Officials said the project is proceeding at full speed and will result in a durable, modernised railway corridor of strategic importance for the region.
