Turkey's Beypazarı Festival and Afyonkarahisar Waterfall Draw Local Crowds

A traditional celebration was held at Uşakgöl Yaylası in Beypazarı, Ankara Province. The event, organized by the Uşakgöl neighbourhood muhtarlık and the local cooperation and development association, featured regional artists, rope‑pulling and sack‑carrying contests, and speeches that highlighted community unity and the association’s recent growth. Local officials, including the Beypazarı kaymakam and former municipal leaders, attended and pledged to continue the festivities in coming years.

In Sinanpaşa district of Afyonkarahisar Province, the Su Uçtu Şelalesi waterfall attracted hikers and photographers with its seasonal contrast – icy, rock‑laden cascades in winter and vibrant, flowing water amid green scenery in summer. The site has become a popular natural‑tourism spot, prompting conservation efforts and a video montage produced by a university research assistant that showcases the waterfall’s year‑round beauty.
