Turkey's Cheese Culture Exhibition Opens in Bursa

The "Türkiye'nin Peynir Kültürü" exhibition was inaugurated in Bursa under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of National Education’s Lifelong Learning General Directorate and the Olgunlaşma Institutes. The opening ceremony took place at Bursa Hamidiye Agricultural Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and was attended by Education Minister Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin, Bursa Governor Erol Ayyıldız, and other officials.

The exhibit presents hundreds of cheese varieties from Turkey’s seven geographic regions, featuring a digital Turkey Cheese Map, photo galleries, a documentary film, tasting stations and hands‑on workshops. Organisers stress that cheese is not merely food but a cultural heritage linked to village life, transhumance, family traditions and collective memory.
