Turkey’s Cilvegözü Border Gate Handles 1,500 Daily Trucks Amid New Logistics Hub

The Cilvegözü Border Gate in Reyhanlı, Hatay Province, is processing about 1,500 trucks each day, making it a key conduit for trade between Turkey and the Arab Peninsula. Governor Mustafa Masatlı said the flow has revived since the 2024 regime change in Syria, with roughly 65% of returning Syrian nationals choosing this crossing.

To support the surge, a 185,000‑square‑metre truck park was built in partnership with the Hatay municipality and the Turkish Chambers of Commerce. The facility can accommodate 1,200 trucks and offers rest areas, markets, and a prayer hall. Drivers such as Ali Alkan and Mehmet Meray praised the new amenities, noting that conditions have improved from muddy, inadequate sites to a well‑organized hub that boosts regional commerce.
