Turkey's Council of Higher Education directs universities to address terrorism prevention

The Council of Higher Education has issued a directive to universities regarding the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. Opening ceremonies and inaugural lectures are requested to address the goal of a “Terror-free Turkey.”

The directive encourages academic research, panels, conferences, and workshops to explore how to build a society where terrorism cannot find new ground.
