Turkey's Culture and Tourism Ministry cites 5,970 restorations and promotes regional heritage
Turkey's Culture and Tourism Minister Cevdet Ersoy said that over the past 24 years the ministry completed 5,970 restoration projects both domestically and abroad, and that 112 restoration activities are currently underway.
Deputy Minister Serdar Çam visited Çankırı, met with the AK Party provincial leadership and highlighted the province’s cultural, historical and economic contributions. He emphasized that Turkey’s heritage reflects a tradition of helping neighbours, stating, "Our historical legacy, civilizational march and identity continue the teaching that ‘we are not those who lie full while the neighbour goes hungry.’"
Both officials underscored the ministry’s role in preserving Turkey’s civilizational values and supporting tourism and economic development through cultural heritage projects.
