Turkey's Cyber Security and Defence sectors announce key appointments and recruitment

Berkan Karakurt has been appointed as the Press Advisor for the Presidency of Cyber Security. Karakurt brings extensive experience in strategic communications, having previously held leadership roles at the Presidency of Defence Industries and Aselsan since 2020. His background includes work with major Turkish institutions such as Enerjisa, Şişecam, and VakıfBank.

In his new role, Karakurt will manage corporate communications and media relations, focusing on conveying the Presidency’s vision regarding cyber security, digital resilience, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies.

Concurrently, the Presidency of Defence Industries has announced the recruitment of 13 contracted IT personnel to support strategic areas including cyber security, artificial intelligence, and software development. The vacancies include roles for senior cyber security experts, system experts, DevOps specialists, network experts, and AI specialists. Candidates must apply via the Kariyer Kapısı platform by August 31.
