Turkey's Defence Ministry launches digital map of 172 overseas war graves

The Turkish Ministry of Defence, through its Mapping General Directorate, released an online platform that visualises 172 Turkish war graves and monuments located in 48 countries worldwide. The digital map, accessible at www.harita.gov.tr, presents sites ranging from a 1982 memorial in Canada to World War I graves in Myanmar, allowing citizens, diaspora members and researchers to locate and learn about these overseas memorials.

The project aims to preserve historical memory, facilitate visits to the sites and serve as a research resource, emphasizing Turkey's commitment to honour its fallen heroes beyond its borders.
