Turkey's Development Road Project to add $55 billion to economy

Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that the Development Road Project is projected to contribute approximately $55 billion to the national economy over a 10-year period. Speaking at a conference organized by the SETA Foundation, Uraloğlu noted that the project is expected to create an average of 70,000 jobs annually through the establishment of production and logistics centers.

Uraloğlu emphasized that the project aims to strengthen Turkey's position within global trade and logistics networks. He described the Development Road as a complementary force to existing trade routes, such as the Middle Corridor, rather than a competitor. The Minister highlighted that as global trade seeks the safest and most predictable routes amidst geopolitical instability, Turkey is positioning itself as a central hub that connects East-West and North-South lines to Europe.
