Turkey's Diyanet publishes dates for 2026‑2027 Islamic holy months

The Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) released the official calendar for the upcoming Islamic holy periods. According to the announcement, the three‑month sacred season will begin with the month of Recep on 10 December 2026 (Thursday), and the first Kandili, Regaip, will be observed that night. Subsequent dates include Miraç Kandili on 5 January 2027 (Tuesday), the start of Şaban on 9 January 2027 (Saturday), and Berat Kandili on 21 February 2027 (Sunday). Ramadan is slated to commence on 8 February 2027 (Monday).
