Turkey backs 1,367 women cooperatives, launches digital upgrade

Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the government has supported the creation of 1,367 women cooperatives, providing education, consultancy, branding and online‑sales assistance. She opened the Producer Women Market and the Nature People’s Garden in Afyonkarahisar, saying the facilities will strengthen women’s economic participation and community life.

Separately, the Serhat Development Agency signed a contract under its 2026 Technical Support Programme with the Dört Mevsim Women Cooperative (Deputy Chair Ayfer Türk) to carry out a digital transformation, branding and e‑commerce capacity‑building project. The programme will develop a corporate identity, brand‑registration support, a website and online sales platform, professional product photography, digital catalogues and training in digital marketing, social‑media management and e‑commerce. The goal is to expand market access for regional food, textile, handicraft and souvenir products, promote Doğubayazıt’s cultural and tourism value, and increase income and digital skills for women entrepreneurs.
