Turkey's Education Ministry announces 2026 school and vocational training registration timelines

The Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB) has detailed the registration periods for the 2026‑2027 academic year. For the state‑run Vocational Education Centers (MESEM), applications are accepted throughout the year, but the Ministry advises candidates to register in July‑August to avoid losing the theoretical course and exam rights. Applicants must have at least a middle‑school diploma, meet health requirements and sign a contract with a host enterprise; no upper age limit applies.

For general secondary education, middle‑school enrollment will be processed automatically through the e‑Okul system based on address data. Parents can monitor placements via the e‑Okul VBS portal. The academic calendar begins with teachers on 1 September 2026 and student classes starting on 14 September 2026, followed by the usual term dates.
