Turkey's 2026 YKS results released, DGS exam results set for August

The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) announced the results of the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) on 22 July 2026. About 2.5 million candidates accessed their TYT, AYT and YDT scores through the official portal ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr. ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy named the top performers in each test section and noted that roughly 2 million candidates took the TYT, 1.6 million the AYT and 200 thousand the YDT. The university placement (preference) period will run from 29 July to 10 August 2026.

The 2026 Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) was held earlier, with 239 681 examinees across 103 centres. ÖSYM released 10 % of the DGS question paper and answer key, available online until 29 July, and scheduled the full DGS results for 13 August 2026. Candidates will retrieve their scores via sonuc.osym.gov.tr.

Parliament has approved a student‑amnesty bill, but it has not yet been published in the Official Gazette, so the measure is not in force. The amendment will allow students who discontinued higher‑education studies to re‑enrol, excluding those convicted of serious crimes.
