Turkey's electricity distributors announce holiday staffing boost and scheduled cuts

AKEDAŞ Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. said it will keep field teams on duty throughout the Kurban Bayramı holidays, operating on a 24‑hour basis and cancelling any planned maintenance to ensure uninterrupted power. The company stressed that “our teams will be on the field during the holiday so consumers can enjoy a peaceful celebration.”

Meanwhile, the electricity operator in Antalya announced temporary power interruptions on 27 May for investment, maintenance and safety work in dozens of districts, including Muratpaşa, Kepez, Alanya and Serik. The cuts are expected to affect households, small businesses, traffic lights and internet services, and residents were urged to unplug devices and use generators carefully.
