Turkey sets new civil servant pay coefficients, wage caps and paid military service fee
Turkey's Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek signed a decree establishing new pay coefficients for civil servants. The monthly coefficient is set at 1.575512, the base monthly coefficient at 25.794915 and the side‑payment coefficient at 0.499649. The paid‑military‑service fee is fixed at 472,653.60 TL, with an additional 5,514.30 TL for evaders and deserters.
The decree also raises the wage ceiling for contract staff to 86,231.60 TL and increases base and ceiling wages for other contract personnel by 13.52%. Public‑sector wage rates for economic enterprises and privatization programs rise by the same percentage. From July 2026, the severance‑pay ceiling will be 73,729.87 TL and the net monthly salary for branch managers will be 102,085.23 TL. These figures apply for six months, beginning in the second half of 2026.
