Turkey's Health Ministry provides one‑on‑one midwife support to 22,952 pregnant women

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu announced that the Ministry of Health’s “Her Gebeye Bir Ebe” (One Midwife per Pregnant Woman) program has assigned a coordinating midwife to every woman in the third trimester of pregnancy. The initiative includes home‑visit visits for first‑time mothers, ensuring individualized care and guidance.

Through the programme, a total of 22,952 pregnant women have received direct, one‑on‑one support, aiming to improve maternal and infant health, increase women’s sense of safety, and provide professional answers to their questions throughout the final stage of pregnancy.
