Turkey's HVAC Exports Surge as Europe Faces Record Heat Wave

Turkish climate‑control manufacturers recorded a sharp rise in European sales during June 2026, with total HVAC export value climbing 20.3 % to $639.2 million, up from $531.8 million a year earlier. Germany was the top destination, importing $71.4 million of equipment, followed by Italy ($30.5 million), France ($28.3 million), Poland ($23.7 million) and Spain ($23 million). Finland posted the highest growth rate, with a 130.7 % increase in Turkish shipments.

Industry officials attributed the surge to an extreme heat wave across Europe that drove record demand for air‑conditioning and heat‑pump systems. Turkey’s proximity, flexible production lines and rapid delivery were cited as competitive advantages. While the boom boosts Turkey’s export earnings, analysts warned that rising energy costs and production pressure could pose risks to the sector’s sustainability.
