Turkey's İŞKUR places over 723,000 workers in first half of 2026

Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Işıkhan announced İŞKUR’s performance for January‑June 2026. The public employment service facilitated the placement of 723,408 job seekers, carried out 390,607 employer visits and conducted 1,665,848 individual counseling sessions. It identified 1,209,372 vacant positions requested by employers and provided individual consultancy to 1,320,857 people. In addition, 44,651 participants benefited from Active Labor Force Programs (including KİPAP), 41,958 received support from Job Clubs, and İŞKUR visited 8,451 educational institutions. Işıkhan emphasised that the agency will continue to expand the accessibility of its corporate services and sustain efforts to strengthen employment in Turkey.

The data underscore a broad governmental push to boost labour market outcomes as the economy and investment environment improve.
