Turkey's Imam Hatip Students Earn Perfect Scores in 2026 LGS Exam

Thirty‑one Imam hatip middle‑school students achieved full marks in Turkey's 2026 Liselere Geçiş Sistemi (LGS) exam, making them national champions. The students, hailing from 15 provinces, gathered at the ONDER headquarters in Istanbul where they were presented with an Umrah pilgrimage gift. ONDER President Abdullah Ceylan praised the schools for producing high‑achieving, confident youth and highlighted the growing demand for Imam hatip education. Ministry of Education official Ahmet Yapıcı noted the schools' multi‑disciplinary successes and expanding capacity.

The champions described their preparation as disciplined and efficient. Muhammad Emir Ezgin from Batman emphasized regular, focused study and limited social‑media use. Van student Meryem Sakman reported solving 200‑300 questions daily, while Istanbul’s Mehmet Utku Coşkun highlighted consistent work on paragraph and writing skills. All credited family support, teachers, and a structured study routine for their success.
