Turkey's Interior Ministry returns 54 red‑notice and national suspects from abroad

The Turkish Interior Ministry announced that 54 individuals wanted under international (Interpol red‑notice) and national arrest warrants have been apprehended abroad and extradited to Turkey. The list includes 29 persons listed on red notices and 25 nationally sought suspects.

The captures occurred in Georgia (38), Germany (5), Azerbaijan (2) and additionally in Bulgaria, Austria, Ecuador, France, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Greece and North Macedonia. The operation was coordinated by the Interpol‑Europol directorate, the Justice Ministry, the General Directorate of Police (KOM), intelligence, narcotics, cyber, public order and TEM directorates, highlighting extensive inter‑agency and international cooperation.

Turkey praised the “meticulous tracking” of fugitives and the collaborative effort with law‑enforcement authorities in the respective countries that enabled the swift return of the suspects.
