Turkey's June cultural events: poetry book launch in Istanbul and Ankara Castle festival

On 5 June 2026, poet Ekim Betül Uçar presented her collection *Savrulan Zaman* at Bi’dünya Kültür Sanat in Üsküdar, Istanbul. The event featured a moderated discussion on modern loneliness, memory and artistic transformation, a book signing, and a cover illustration by artist Mehmet Güreli.

Two weeks later, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality organized the Kale Şenlikleri cultural festival at Ankara Castle on 13–14 June 2026. The free program included concerts, theatre, workshops, exhibitions, a women’s handmade market, a chess tournament and guided museum tours, drawing residents and visitors to the historic site.
