Turkey's Ministry of Family and Social Services distributes 56 billion lira via Ailekart

The Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services has announced that over 56 billion lira has been distributed to eligible citizens through the 'Ailekart' application. This digital payment system, which integrates artificial intelligence, was designed to consolidate 15 different types of social assistance into a single card to ensure faster and more secure delivery of funds.

Since its launch with birth assistance payments in September 2025, the program has distributed 3,580,000 cards. Of the total amount, approximately 24.17 billion lira was allocated for birth assistance, while 31.84 billion lira was provided for regular social aid, including disability and elderly pensions, as well as electricity and natural gas support.

Managed through Halkbank, the system allows users to withdraw funds from public bank ATMs. The Ministry also noted that cardholders will soon be able to benefit from discounts at participating businesses.
