Turkey's National Intelligence Academy Releases AI Technopolitics Report
The Milli İstihbarat Akademisi (MIA) published a report titled “World Politics in Technopolitical Order Discussions and Turkey”. Introduced by its president Prof. Dr. Talha Köse, the study argues that artificial intelligence and allied critical technologies—advanced chips, rare minerals, energy sources, data infrastructure and robotics—are reshaping international competition, state capacity, economic rivalry and societal structures.
The report urges Turkey to develop its own technopolitical doctrine that blends strategic capacity, secure design and social legitimacy. It outlines three principal approaches—technorealist, technopragmatist and techno‑humanist—and stresses the need for public‑private cooperation, reforms in data governance and leveraging Turkey’s defence‑industry expertise to avoid strategic surprises.
