Turkey's Ordu Province Sets 2026 Hazelnut Harvest Schedule

The Turkish Ministry of Trade's Black Sea Customs and Foreign Trade Directorate announced the 2026 hazelnut (fındık) harvest calendar for Ordu Province. Harvest will begin on 10 August in the coastal zone, 17 August in the mid‑altitude zone, and 24 August in the high‑altitude zone.

Export dates were also specified: shipments start on 15 August for the coastal area, 22 August for the mid‑altitude area, and 29 August for the high‑altitude area. Arslan Soydan, a board member of the Turkish Agricultural Chambers, warned that harvesting too early can reduce yield and weight, directly harming farmers' income, and urged producers to follow the schedule to preserve quality and labor efficiency.
