Turkey's Parliament to Submit 'National Solidarity and Social Cohesion' Framework Law
The AK Party group announced that a new framework law titled “National Solidarity and Social Cohesion” is being prepared for submission to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Party officials said the draft is not yet final; headings and main elements have been shared with other party groups. Abdullah Güler reported meetings with the İYİ Party, CHP, Yeni Party, Yeni Yol, DEM and MHP, and that signatures from party leaders including Numan Kurtulmuş and State Minister Bahçeli have been collected. A closed‑group meeting is scheduled for the next day, after which the proposal will be submitted to parliament and a press conference will outline its main points. The proposal was opened for signature on 4 August 2026, will be sent to the Justice Committee and later to the TBMM General Assembly for debate.
