Turkey projects ~19% pension boost and ~15% civil‑servant raise for July 2026
Turkish analysts expect the July 2026 salary increase to raise SSK and Bağ‑Kur retirees by roughly 18.5%‑19%, based on the confirmed 4‑month cumulative inflation of 14.64% and projected May (≈1.8%‑2%) and June (≈1.5%‑1.9%) inflation rates. Civil servants and their retirees are forecast to receive a smaller lift of about 15%‑16% due to collective‑bargaining caps.
The lowest pension, currently around 20,000 TL, could rise to between 23,000 TL and 30,000 TL, while the minimum civil‑servant salary may exceed 70,000 TL. The rise also pushes the annual severance‑pay ceiling from 64,948 TL to roughly 74,000 TL, adding about 9,000 TL per year for high‑earners who delay retirement until after July.
