Turkey's Presidency of Communications emphasizes disinformation combat

The Presidency of Communications of Turkey is intensifying efforts to combat disinformation and enhance institutional communication. At a recent training program in Erzurum titled ‘Communication Century: Strong Communication, Effective Public,’ officials emphasized the necessity of transparent and rapid information exchange to maintain the relationship between the state and its citizens.

During the Anadolu Agency News Awards ceremony, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran stated that the Disinformation Center works alongside all public institutions to quickly identify fake content and provide accurate information. Duran noted that while media formats have shifted from traditional television to digital platforms, global actors continue to use media as a tool for manipulation, necessitating a strong institutional response to uphold the truth.
