Turkey 2026 University Closures and National Exam Schedules Announced

Universities across Turkey will finish the spring term in late May, with final exams running into mid‑June and official closures occurring by the end of June 2026. Students who pass without needing resits can begin their summer break around 15 June, while those awaiting re‑examination may wait until the final week of June.

The Ministry of National Education released the question paper and answer key for the Education Inspectorate Competency Exam on 7 June 2026. Written results are due on 19 June, oral exams will be held in Ankara from 10‑28 August, with final results expected on 2 October.

The Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) schedule was also published. Applications open on 1 July for the licence level, with exams on 6 September (general) and 4‑12 October (specialized). Results will be announced between 7 October and 19 November.

The Higher Education Assessment (YKS) exam dates are set for 20‑21 June 2026. Entry documents are expected to be released between 8‑12 June via the ÖSYM Aday İşlemleri Sistemi, allowing candidates to verify their test locations and required paperwork.
