Turkey's TMO opens third grain purchase point in Beyşehir
The Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) Konya Directorate announced the opening of a third grain procurement hub in Beyşehir, Turkey, to accommodate a record high harvest. The new point aims to prevent farmer hardship by accelerating grain collection and reducing congestion at existing sites.
TMO director Mehmet Barlak said that from 14:00 on 24 July farmers can schedule appointments at the Beyşehir Agency Office, and all products received during the appointment will be taken the same day. He emphasized that the agency will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the harvest season. "We listened to the requests of our producers and the agriculture chamber and provided an on‑site solution," Barlak said.
The added capacity is expected to speed up grain purchases across Beyşehir, supporting producers as the season’s favorable conditions boost yields.
