Turkey's Youth and Sports Ministry to hire 1,200 contract coaches

The Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports announced a recruitment drive for 1,200 contract coaches across 56 sport branches. A total of 1,022 coaches will be hired for general sport branches, while an additional 178 positions are reserved for athletes who have achieved results in Olympic, Paralympic, World, European, Youth Olympic, Universiade, Mediterranean or Deaflympic competitions.

Applications are accepted electronically via the e‑Devlet Career Portal from 10 August to 14 August 2026. Candidates must be Turkish citizens aged 18‑60, have passed the 2024 KPSS B‑group exam with a minimum P3 score, and meet the civil‑service eligibility criteria outlined in Law No 657. Specific sports such as shooting, artistic gymnastics and wheelchair table tennis require additional certification.

Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak emphasized the effort to strengthen the ministry’s regional sport directorates, stating that the contract‑coach program is a key part of expanding Turkey’s sport infrastructure.
