Turkic World Festival begins in Sincan, Ankara

The Turkic World Festival has commenced in the Sincan district of Ankara, aimed at preserving and promoting the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic world. Held at Sincan Park, the event features music, dance, and traditional cultural elements.

The program included performances by the Turkic World Music and Dance Ensemble and the Mehteran Ensemble, alongside concerts by artists such as Esat Kabaklı, Ahmet Tuzlu, and Azerin. The festival also marked the opening of the Orkhon Inscriptions Monument.

Sincan Mayor Murat Ercan highlighted the event's significance, noting that Ankara will serve as the Turkic World Tourism Capital in 2026. The festival offers attendees various cultural experiences, including Dede Korkut narratives, traditional Turkic treats, and displays of cultural motifs and Turkic tents (Otağ).
