Veteran Actor Tarık Papuççuoğlu Chooses Guesthouse Life in Bodrum
Turkish veteran actor Tarık Papuççuoğlu announced that he has been residing in a guesthouse in Bodrum for roughly 15 years. After undergoing bypass surgery, he decided to move to simplify his life and avoid becoming a burden to his children. He transferred all his real‑estate assets to his offspring and entered a special agreement with his agency, which now covers his accommodation, meals and other living costs.
Speaking on a TV program, Papuççuoğlu said, “I don’t want to be a load for my children,” adding that many people at his age prefer not to rely on their kids. He described the arrangement as an alternative to a traditional nursing home, noting that he continues to work while the agency handles his earnings.
The story also highlighted his daughter, actress Zeynep Papuççuoğlu, who gained attention due to her father’s news. Zeynep, born in 1975, is married to renowned chef Maksut Aşkar, and the family’s background in the Turkish arts and gastronomy sectors was noted in coverage.
