Turkish Aeronautical Association plans aviation training center in Samsun

The Samsun branch of the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) has announced its strategic roadmap for the new management term under the leadership of Branch President İsmail Hut. A primary objective is the establishment of a permanent aviation training center in Samsun, which is intended to serve the wider Black Sea region in the medium term.

The new administration, which includes Vice President Özlem Maraş and Secretary Osman Kandıra, aims to focus on youth-oriented projects and social responsibility. Planned activities include training and operations in various disciplines such as model aircraft, gliders, paragliding, paramotors, freefall skydiving, and drones.

Additionally, the branch plans to strengthen collaborations with public institutions and educational entities to promote aviation culture. The management also intends to host a comprehensive aviation festival in Samsun, featuring amateur and sporting aviation activities alongside aerobatic flights.
