Turkey's agriculture ministry holds farmer outreach meetings in Ardahan, Uşak, Edirne and other provinces
Turkey's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry conducted a series of on‑site meetings with livestock and crop producers across several provinces. In Ardahan, Director Harun Akıllı attended simultaneous field gatherings in the districts of Hanak, Posof, Damal, Göle and Çıldır, discussing animal health, sustainable herd management, modern feeding methods and crop practices suited to the region's climate.
In the central Anatolian town of Bor (Niğde Province), technical teams provided education on sustainable livestock care, disease prevention such as against Crimean‑Congo haemorrhagic fever, and the “Birlikte Üretelim” project supporting small ruminants. Similar outreach in Uşak province involved on‑site inspections of farms, technical advice on bio‑security, productivity improvements and information on ministry support programmes.
Edirne province hosted “Friday gatherings” where producers received guidance on the Crop Registration System, agricultural insurance, animal health measures, fire‑prevention on fields near forests and the use of the Tarım TV channel for updates. Ministry officials stressed that these field visits will continue regularly to improve the sustainability and profitability of Turkey’s agricultural sector.
