Turkish Air Force conducts NATO missions in Romania and Estonia
The Turkish Air Force is actively participating in multiple NATO missions to enhance allied airspace security. In Romania, Turkish aircraft, including two F-16s, one E-7T, and one KC-135R, participated in NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defense activities. This mission marked a milestone with the first successful execution of low-speed interception training, designed to improve capabilities against targets moving at varying speeds.
Simultaneously, Turkey is contributing to NATO’s Enhanced Air Policing (eAP) mission in Estonia. The Ministry of National Defense confirmed that five F-16 aircraft and 76 personnel have been deployed to Amari Air Base. These forces are tasked with ensuring the safety of allied airspace during their deployment period.
