Turkish Airlines carries 9.5 million passengers in July 2026, hits record occupancy

Turkish Airlines reported that it transported 9.5 million passengers in July 2026, the highest monthly total in the carrier’s history. The airline’s load factor rose to 86.5 %, up 1 percentage point from the previous year, while the on‑time departure rate improved by 10.5 points to 82.4 %.

Year‑to‑date, total passenger traffic reached 54 million, a 5.4 % increase over the same period in 2025. International passenger numbers grew to 6 million, and domestic traffic rose to 3.4 million. Cargo and mail volumes climbed 12 % to about 1.36 million tonnes. The fleet expanded to 563 aircraft, a 14.7 % rise from the prior year, supporting the higher traffic levels.

The airline highlighted strong performance across regions, with the highest capacity growth in the Far East (16 %) and a notable occupancy rise on Middle‑East routes.
