Turkish Airlines flight canceled after pilot fails alcohol test

A Turkish Airlines flight from Brussels to Istanbul was canceled after a co-pilot failed an alcohol test. The incident occurred at Brussels Airport on Thursday, August 27, involving flight TK1940 and an Airbus A321neo.

Following suspicions regarding the co-pilot's sobriety, police were called to the aircraft. A breathalyzer test conducted by the Belgian Federal Police confirmed a positive result for alcohol. As a result, the Halle-Vilvoorde Prosecutor's Office imposed a 24-hour flight ban on the pilot, and the flight, which was carrying over 100 passengers, was canceled.
