Turkish Technic opens seventh hangar at Atatürk Airport

Turkish Technic has inaugurated its seventh hangar at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, significantly expanding its aircraft maintenance capabilities. The new facility, which covers 29,400 square meters, was previously an idle facility built in 1996 and has been renovated with modern technology and equipment to meet current quality standards.

With this investment, the company’s maintenance capacity in Istanbul has increased to 57 aircraft. The hangar is designed to service two narrow-body and one wide-body aircraft simultaneously. Additionally, the facility includes a large training building intended to support the company’s goal of becoming a leading international training center by combining theoretical classroom instruction with field applications.

This expansion aims to support the growing fleet of Turkish Airlines and provide higher capacity services to international customers. Following this investment, Turkish Technic’s total indoor facility area in Istanbul will exceed 850,000 square meters, strengthening its position as the largest aircraft maintenance center in a single city globally.
