Turkish Airlines to increase Lagos–Istanbul flight frequency

Turkish Airlines is expanding its flight services in Nigeria by increasing the frequency of its Istanbul–Lagos route. Starting 11 December 2026, the airline will increase weekly flights from seven to ten in each direction.

This expansion, representing a nearly 43 per cent increase in scheduled weekly departures, aims to meet rising demand for travel between Nigeria and Türkiye, as well as for passengers connecting through Istanbul to the airline’s global network of over 350 destinations. The move follows a previous increase in Istanbul–Abuja services to seven weekly flights in June 2026, further strengthening the carrier’s connectivity within the country.
