Turkish Airlines to lease two Boeing 777 cargo aircraft
Turkish Airlines has signed an agreement with AerCap to lease two Boeing 777-300ERSF freighter aircraft. The two planes, which previously served as passenger aircraft, will undergo conversion to cargo models.
The conversion process will take place at the Etihad Engineering maintenance and repair center in Abu Dhabi. This facility operates through a strategic partnership with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the Israeli defense and aviation company responsible for the engineering and technical development of the Boeing 777-300ERSF conversion program.
Turkish Airlines expects to receive the aircraft between March and September 2027.
