Turkish Ambassador hosts Gaza-Egypt solidarity event in Cairo
The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, hosted a solidarity event in Cairo titled ‘Meeting of Palestinian and Egyptian Families.’ Organized in cooperation with the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, the program brought together 250 families, consisting of 200 from Gaza and 50 from Egypt, to strengthen ties between the two communities.
During the event, food and cash assistance were distributed to the participating families, supported by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Foundation. Ambassador Şen used the occasion to emphasize Turkey’s commitment to the Gaza Peace Plan and its close coordination with Egypt and Qatar to achieve a lasting ceasefire and regional peace.
Şen expressed deep concern regarding the humanitarian conditions in Gaza and stated that Turkey would not permit the displacement of the Palestinian people, calling such a move a ‘red line.’ He also presented an appreciation plaque to Egypt’s national football team coach, Hüsam Hasan, recognizing his support for the Palestinian cause and his recent success in the World Cup.
