Turkish and Polish ministers discuss trade and investment in Milwaukee

Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat met with Polish Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domański in Milwaukee, USA, during the G20 Trade Ministers Meeting. The discussions focused on the current state of economic and commercial relations between Turkey and Poland.

Key areas of cooperation discussed include trade, contracting services, investments, energy, transportation, logistics, defense industry, and collaboration in third countries. Both ministers agreed to organize the 6th Term Meeting of the ‘Turkey–Poland Consultation Mechanism’ and the ‘Turkey–Poland Investment and Business Forum’ in the near future.

The meeting also addressed Turkey-EU relations, specifically the improvement of the Customs Union to strengthen economic integration. They exchanged views on the impact of the EU’s Industrial Accelerator Act on the competitiveness and supply chain resilience of both Europe and Turkey. Bilateral trade volume reached a record $12.5 billion in 2025, with a target to reach $15 billion.
