Turkish authorities detain 59 suspects in nationwide ISIS operation

The Turkish Ministry of Interior announced that gendarmerie teams conducted simultaneous operations across 22 provinces to target ISIS. The raids, coordinated by the Gendarmerie General Command's Counter-Terrorism Department and local prosecutors, resulted in the detention of 59 suspects.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were active in field operations and cell structures. They were also accused of providing systematic financing to the organization through fake aid organizations and conducting propaganda on social media platforms to recruit sympathizers. Authorities seized various digital materials and organizational documents during the raids to further investigate the group's hierarchical and financial networks.
