Turkish authorities hold awareness events to combat violence against women

In Siirt, the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services coordinated a neighborhood meeting in the Bahçelievler district to raise awareness about preventing violence against women. The event, supported by the Provincial Gendarmerie and Provincial Police Departments, provided information on services offered by the Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center (ŞÖNİM), including protective family services, marriage loans, and family counseling.

Similarly, in Edirne, the Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center (ŞÖNİM) conducted an information campaign at the Lala Şahin Paşa Mosque. Officials distributed brochures detailing the Ministry of Family and Social Services' support models and services available to victims of violence to ensure citizens are aware of available assistance.
