Istanbul police arrest two drug manufacturers using fake workshop

Istanbul police have arrested two individuals operating a synthetic drug manufacturing site. The suspects utilized sophisticated evasion tactics to avoid detection, including leaving digital devices at home, avoiding all telephonic communication, and using irregular travel methods such as buses and unlicensed taxis.

During a surveillance operation, one suspect traveled approximately 20 kilometers from Arnavutköy to Bağcılar over the course of eight hours, using deserted roads and changing vehicles to check for tails. The manufacturing facility was concealed on the upper floor of a business in the Matbaacılar Sitesi area that posed as a ring and chocolate box workshop.

Authorities seized 30 kilograms of AM-2201, a raw material used in the production of synthetic drugs. The two suspects were taken into custody and referred to judicial authorities.
