Turkish banks increase pension promotion offers
Turkish banks are intensifying competition through enhanced promotion campaigns for retirees who commit to receiving their pensions through their institutions for three years. Following increases in minimum pension amounts, several major banks have updated their incentive structures for August 2026.
Akbank is offering up to 15,000 TL in cash promotions, plus an additional 5,000 TL in chip-para for eligible SGK retirees, bringing the total benefit to 20,000 TL. Other banks have announced varying packages: ING Bank offers up to 32,000 TL in total benefits, while Yapı Kredi and DenizBank provide up to 30,000 TL.
Additional incentives from institutions like İş Bankası, QNB, and Albaraka Türk are often tied to secondary conditions such as automatic bill payments, credit card usage, or referral programs. These campaigns target SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Emekli Sandığı retirees.
